Tony Johnson - Singer/songwriter
Born in the small fishing outport of Trouty,T.Bay in 1962 from which his family moved when he was 2 years old. Tony now lives in Catalina (Trinty Bay North..newly renamed) on the Bonavista Peninsula on Newfoundlands east coast.
A relative new comer to the music singer/songwriter circles Tony brings to life through his music and song a way of life both past and present that is rural Newfoundland.
From the happy up beat "Cod Jiggin in the Fall" tune, to the loss of life upon the water found in "Won't be Home again", Tony can move you and stir your emotions like few others can.
The passion and love that Tony has for his precious Island isn't hard to see or hear in his debut album Changing Times. Changing Times released in late February is being very well recieved and quickly becoming a must have of Newfoundland CD's.
Tony is also a member of the local Catalina band called "Schooners Crew", who can be found playing at events around the Bonavista/Catalina area. The group is well known in the area, especially for their volunteer time at Seniors Homes and benifits concerts to raise money for the sick people in the area needing treatments.
" A man that wears his heart on his sleeve for all to see, His 1st CD certainly won't be his last. "
